First SOTER project meeting – Exploring the project tools and plans for future developments

Digital applications across all business sectors are increasing and cyber-attacks are increasing with them. The human factor plays a key role in cyber-attacks and new tools, more awareness and training for employees are needed to tackle this issue.

As we enter into the sixth month of the project, the SOTER partners will meet in Dublin, Ireland, on 3-4 December 2019 for their first meeting after the kick-off, to discuss the progress of the project and the next steps to be taken.

The SOTER project is developing a biometric-based authentication and identification digital onboarding platform in conjunction with a suite of training materials, designed to enhance information security, data privacy, and cybersecurity practice within the critical financial services sector.

The two-day event will cover the developments and work carried out within each of the work packages, with a particular focus on the upcoming deliverables and milestones.

Plans for dissemination and exploitation of the project results will also be discussed, as well as privacy, legal and ethical issues to ensure that SOTER’s technologies comply with the legal and regulatory environment, and data protection and ethical norms.
